I’m passionate about working with people and making a positive impact in their lives. Throughout my career, I have worked as both a teacher and a nurse, experiences that have shaped my approach to care and support.
I founded Branching Out Support after recognising the need for service providers in regional areas—places where personalised support for the aging population and individuals with disabilities is crucial.
In my free time, I love exploring my local area and discovering new activities. I also enjoy gardening, reading, hiking, and spending quality time with friends and family.
Hi, I’m Kate! I’ve been working in the care industry for the past four years, across both aged care and disability support. I’ve also spent time in small neighbourhood centres and even ran a federally funded support program for at-risk young people.
I’m currently studying my Master of Social Work at QUT and am really passionate about making community access fun, creative, and inclusive—no matter someone’s needs or abilities.
I’m based in the Brisbane region and work with a diverse group of clients. I love getting to know each person and tailoring support to suit their individual goals.
When I’m not working, you’ll usually find me at a music concert or theatre show, trying out new recipes, in a reformer Pilates class, or out camping.
I have spent my entire career in the health industry, working across a range of fields from fabricating artificial limbs to creating artificial teeth. In 2023, I transitioned into working as a carer and support worker, a role I find incredibly rewarding.
I enjoy meeting a diverse range of clients and learning about their unique life stories. In my spare time, I am a sculptor and also enjoy gardening. I have a strong passion for books, research, and music.
